As you can see on today's picture, we captured a photo of a Montreal Canadian real fan... he was on an impromptu early afternoon talk show... the Samurai Show... (you guessed it, Ryoma was the host:) we can tell he was brought up in La Belle Province and that he has a biased opinion of where his team is going this year :)
On a different note, we are working on our last Writing Trait called Organization. Today, we had to write up a paragraph about our own autobiography for Week 1. We worked our way up to it and as usual learned or worked on a couple grammar/convention points during that week 1. You would think that kids really know each other as they have spent (for the most part) their whole elementary together but you would be surprised about some things and stories that come out. Speaking of writing and letters. We will be writing another set of letters but this time, to save Rhinos in Africa and help them in their plight as poachers are decimating them so fast that they might be excitinc in the next few years. Go here http://www.takepart.com/article/2012/12/17/kid-activists-fight-rhinos to get more info and watch the quick one minute video too (middle of the page) that I showed the kids today. They were all eager to make a difference and help out just like so many other kids around the world have done so far.
Safety City is coming tomorrow and the kids are excited. They like Laura and some of those role play videos that they bring. Last year, the most popular one was about cigarettes... gross was the word of the day that time!! Hopefully they still think that once they get to junior and high school... things tend to change there...
Ton prof, signing out!
