Well well well, the weekend is here but we'll get to see each other quick for a few dance moves tonight if you make it! Oui Monsieur, we warmed up at lunch today, tonight you'll be able to impress your parents. Maybe they'll play the always popular Vanilla Ice classic...
We had the class secretly vote their top three students this week and we tallied the votes and comments. Ella, Karen, Alex and Sharaya got the nod from their peers and I could only agree. They were celebrated in the gym today in front of their grade 5s and 6s peers. You can see them featured on today's picture. Well done and deserved les enfants, let's see what the class decides next time around, it was close so keep up the fantastic work!
We had our first Hygiene quiz today and I told my perennial true story about little Johnny... We have been talking about nutrition for our bodies and nutrition for our minds during our Hygiene periods. We also follow up on the D.A.R.E. program and visit about some drugs and the overall dangers of making wrong choices whether it's from the grocery store, people we choose to associate with or the thoughts we put in our heads on a daily basis.
One of my life mentors, John Lennon, had a pretty cool mother (a super mom) which ties in and closes the loop beautifully with what we have been talking about. We are all in this together on this big space rock we call earth. We all need the same basic staples of life, we are all one! When you have your basics covered it is easier to be and feel.... wait for it... wait for it... HAPPY! So, the true story goes... little Johnny is in elementary school, maybe in grade 5 (the story does not tell about this part specifically). Finish it off for your parents les enfants!
We then watched and listened to Imagine, one of the best songs ever, in my humble opinion and talked about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2hvkPyiAFE I was not even born myself for this performance but I am certain that this song will transcend time and always be famous and popular. You may say I'm a dreamer...
So, be happy now, whatever and however that works for you. Life is short and unpredictable. Make the best of it today :)
Make yourselves a fantastic weekend and we shall see you next week!
Ton prof, signing out!
