Well, this is it... la dernière neige... I was on supervision today and the kids were trying to make snowmen and forts... tough going indeed! I told them to take advantage of the little snow left because we won't probably have another chance to built anyting with snow... or maybe mother nature will surprise us and we will get a snow day? Wishful thinking... My sister teaches in Quebec and they had a snow day AGAIN no later than last week (kids don't have the week off like here). We did get one here however in 2007 or 2008 for the first time in 15 years at St-Mary's but the teachers still had to go to school... Anyhoo, we are all ready for some nicer weather aren't we!?! I am working on a cross school project that we could do in the warmer months. It would be a semi field trip but as usual, kids have to earn it through WOWs. I shall keep you posted.
Our Tower garden is doing well. We only have a couple cubes that have not sprouted yet. Our tomatoe plants though are just huge... taking over they are. No tomatoes though :( I might just top and trim them a bit and plant them outside as soon as possible. Tomatoes can grow and will. Yes, today's pictures is a tomatoe... tree! Our growing season is too short but with the right strain and conditions they will not stop... amazing isn't it!?!
What else is new in our grade 4 & 5 world? We had a choir presentation today. They needed an audience and an audience they got. The whole school was there to see them perform. They are getting there, very well done les enfants!!! We only had about 10 minutes left in the gym and the kids had been wanting to play Pacman... so we did. It would be more fun with costumes... what do you think les amis?
February is almost up les amis... load up your calendars with minutes. You still have a bit of time left. You can do it!
