On a more serious note, you can see most of the jovial and happy parents who prepared this gargantuan meal for the whole school and then some. Merci beaucoup parents from myself and all the grade 4/5 kids. (double clap!!) Let's make it a standing ovation double clap actually!!!
Kids had a small recess on the way back to burn off some energy. The weather had warmed up and they were all too happy to go play for a bit. We only read a little bit today for D.E.A.R. We can't let down our G2 reading buddies. I shared the 'Détecteur the mensonge' project and kids are quite stoked. They wanted to share stories/affirmations already but I told them to keep it for themselves. Last thing you want is say too much and give a good lie away... I thought I was a great liar but 11 kids found out my lie... I did fool 9 of them though but it won't cut it for the best liar trophe. Anyway, we shall begin after the vaction which, as I told the kids, will give them ample time to find 3 great stories/affirmations and practice lying... It sounds bad doesn't it!?! A school assignement where you need to practice lying...
We had a swift French version of capture the flag game and came back to work on multiplications before the bell sent us home. We have not practiced our song and dance in two days... I think it is good however. We shall practice a bit mañana and next week as well. Sometimes it helps to rest a project and get back to it refreshed. I will try to film us next week and show the kids so we can see us in action and improve from the shooting.
