Ouhhhhhhhhhh les amis you will be able to fool even the most clever of them. Yes yes yes, but.... you have to follow your promess to practice a few times in front of the mirror to get the moves and your patter down. Then and only then, perform it for you friends and family... Let me know how you make out alright!!!
We had almost every kid bring back their Vocab quiz today, it was B.E.A.Utiful but half of these did NOT correct their mistakes.... I can tell you that having to do so before jumping from the sidelines to play with the rest of the class made them remember pretty quickly indeed.
Sniff sniff... the DDM is almost done. Kids are pretty sad too, so much so that I have had several of them coming up to me so they could go for a second round!!! We might just draw a few extras participants but obvioulsy they will not count towards the rankings.
We reviewed equivalent fractions today with 'un dénominateur commun'. Ask me if this will be on the next math quiz les amis? Know it to be true!!! It is one of the hardest concepts for sure in that unit but I think we made quite a bit of headway today. Epiphany moment for a few students. That was good! Those manipulatives sure are handy and analogies to pizza always helps to get some concepts across :) We can see Kaylea here using the props while Lair is trying to hijack the picture in the background.
We are also moving along quite nicely in our 'romans'. Kids have a couple chapters to go through for next Monday since there is no school on Friday for students. I think I would have read at least one book in elementary had we used Smartboard lessons like today. Even for me as a teacher, I dig these lessons. Always fun to play with technology.
Hasta mañana les jeunesses!!!
