We had a big surprise too today. Nicholas brought a whole bag of can tabs. We are talking about hundreds upon hundreds! Way to be Nic !! Speaking of can tabs. I called Redi bottle depot to see if we could storm the recycling depot and rip out and collect as many tabs as possible. Lorna said yes! Wooohooo!! She will give us one bag (we are talking 2100 cans). That means, we have an hour to get as many tabs as we can, racing the clock. Our time slot is next Monday Dec. 17th from 3h30 to 4h30. I will be there, if you would like to swing by and drop your kid off for a bit please do let me know in advance. Lorna will only allow 4 kids maximum there. She is pretty strict about it due to previous requests that got out of control. the only mandatory thing is that the kids need to bring is a big smile and optionnally a pair of work gloves... (update, only 2 spots left now!)
We practiced our song and dance. Fine tuning a few things. Kids always come up with ideas so we vote and adapt. Thanks to James et Laird for being good sports and switching there parts to enhanced the play. Grade 4s are ready for the Chap. 9 math quiz. Coming at you early next week or Wednesday at the latest. We are getting closer and closer from finishing up our 'Ombre et lumière' science unit. We worked lots on French plural too this week and should complete the full spectrum by next week. All in all, very busy and fun day. Kids enjoyed a mysterious movie too at lunch. What was it les amis, it We got some leftover fruits (merci encore parents!!!) and also kids enjoyed their muffins.
Make a good weekend everybody!
