Mme. Franz could not come today as her husband passed away Wednesday from Cancer. She does not know this but we wrote her a big card with small cards and comforting messages saying we are thinking of her and looking forward to seeing her again soon.
We did enjoy gym today, merci les amis!!! The weather was even better than yesterday. We practiced our kickball and our spitting... kids are getting the hang of keeping a chunk of sunflower seeds in one cheek like the squirrels do and cracking up the shells with their from teeth... M. Unreiner (our custodian) thinks it is funny as long as the hulls do not make their way in the school :) We promised him!
Another week les enfants... we can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel... crazy crazy how fast things go when we are having fun. We finished our letters to president Zuma in South Africa to help and try to sensibilize him to do something about the heavy poaching of rhinos. I will mail them tonight actually. At this pace, they might be extinct in a few short years if nothing is done. We got 2 more big writing assignments next week... ouhhhhhhhhh we have been writing lots lately haven't we les enfants?!?
Rest for now, have some fun this weekend and we shall see you Monday morning as usual.
Ton prof, signing out!
P.s. We are out of buses for this year... we got a tentative date for the landfill and water treatment plant (May 16th) so we are going to try to sell some more golf balls to cover the costs of this and the 2 other field trips I have in mind for the kids. We sent a first wave last week and a second one this week. It is roughly 60 bucks a trip
