Well, today kids got themselves a second WOW already... What's a WOW anyway??? Tell your parents about it les enfants. I came back from lunch recess a couple minutes after the kids as I was dealing with a little grade 2 who had lost his bearings and was upset... I walked in and all our 21 kids were already in, taking full advantage of their D.E.A.R. time in a quiet and respectful way. B.E.A.Utifu! as Jim Carrey would say in Bruce Almighty (2003).
I had to treat them to a quick impromptu gym period at the front of our school in the cooler shade. You would think that it was not as hot but no... it was madness! We all broke a sweat within minutes but we had fun. Who won les enfants? That's right, nobody did... because it's all about F.U.N. and F.U.N. we had. We also shared the gym with M.Marcotte's class at the end of the day for our regular gym period and ouhhhhhhhhhhh was that ever better. The gym is cool and we can put out without having little streams of sweat rushing down our faces :)
Thank you to all parents who already wrote in. If you have not still, please send me a quick e-mail saying bonjour so I can add you up to our group parent list. I send reminders, share some French events and ask for help too :)
You have fantastic kids parents, don't forget to let them know!
Today, we were doing a French get to know you activity called 'moi aussi'. Basically, everybody says a thing they enjoy and if you do too you you say 'moi aussi'. I get to ask them questions and get to know them a bit more. We get to one mademoiselle and she goes, -'J'aime faire du shopping for sparkly clothes.' All the girl got up and said 'moi aussi'... Pretty funny and cute! It made my day.
Rock on les enfants!
A demain,
Ton prof, signing out!
