As usual, today was a whirlwind. Fast and productive. Seems like the kids had a good couple of days with Monsieur Walters too before the break. I had left some interesting pieces of work. One was reading comprehension/writing about cheating and choosing who lives and who dies... ask your child about it. I think we had very good chats about the rationale for their choices. I also shared a story about my time at SDSU in California as an exchange student. Hopefully, some learn from my mistakes :)
There are no birthdays today nor a star of the week. However, we are so happy to be back at school that we thought we would show it on today's picture... Notice how stoked Laird is!! We are on the last stretch home. Kids have a couple WOWs as well and are on a mission to get the third one pronto so I can book us a trip at the landfill and water treatment plant. The window is closing so they have to make it happen. I shared with them that I was not going to book it until they earned it... so if we do not make it for this one there will be other ones. Monsieur Beaulieu has a few ideas up his sleeve les enfants... the more WOWs you get, the more ideas you get to see and experience. How many will it be les enfants???
Tomorrow, we will try something new. We always have a couple of kids come up and talk briefly about their evening or weekend to practice speaking in front of their peers and also to practice the latest French grammar points that we learnt. However, tomorrow, we will have the kids tell a French joke to mix it up. I am anxious to hear them... humour can be a bizare thing. English humour does not always translate well into French or vice versa... we will see how tomorrow goes!
Hasta Mañana!
